Gionee launched a new lower mid-range 4G LTE (VoLTE-ready) phone, the P7 Max in India on Monday. The Gionee P7 Max will be available for buying in India at a price of Rs 13,999 across all retail stores. It will be available in the colours Gold and Grey-Blue, the company announced.

The P7 Max comes with a 5.5-inch HD display and is powered by a 2.2Ghz octa-core MediaTek MT6595 processor clubbed with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory which is further expandable by up to 128GB via microSD card.

The dualSIM phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based Amigo 3.2 out-of-the-box. It sports a 13-megapixel camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel camera on the front. The phone is backed by a 3,100mAh battery.

“We are really excited to present the new P7 Max. At this price point, it will be a perfect buy for customers this festive season. Gonee recently joined the virtual reality bandwagon with the launch of the S6 Pro phone and a dedicated VR headset. While the S6 Pro costs Rs 23,999, Gionee’s VR Set has been priced at Rs 2,499.

The Gionee S6 Pro supports split screen rendering on the screen when viewed through the dedicated VR headset. The phone and VR headset “allow the user to watch a video already playing while they receive notifications from other apps,” according to Gionee. The phone also comes pre-bundled with Gionee’s own VR app that has an in-built G-Store for games and videos fine-tuned for VR.
