Next generation Porsche 911 Cabriolet spied

lose on the heels of the first spy pictures of the next-gen 911 coupe, the upcoming Porsche 911 Cabriolet has also been spotted testing in the cold weather conditions of northern Europe.

As the front fascia of the coupe and the cabriolet will remain the same, both models will receive the restyled LED head lamps, large air intakes, and the legendary 911 design cues. However, the cabriolet design deviates from the coupe model when viewed in profile. This is where the smaller quarter glass and the rear fenders that exhibit different curves to make space for the roof to fold, are visible.

Though the car shows off the same set of snazzy looking tail lamps first seen on the Mission-E test mule, we believe that the overall design of the rear section needs a revamp as it looks slightly out of sync. Though details on the powertrains are yet to be confirmed, Porsche is expected to add a hybrid variant to the next-gen 911 range.

Keeping in mind that the current model is slated to receive updates on the GT2 and GT3 in 2017, Porsche could introduce the all-new 911 in the latter half of 2018. Stay tuned for more news in the days to come.
